Saturday December 2 CCPRC is the host club for the Magpul Texas Youth Action Shootout put on by the TSRA Foundation. CCPRC is providing the Steel, assisantance with set up and the match location. The match will use bays 10-16 starting with set up Friday December 1st about 3 pm. The match is expected to last until about 5 pm Saturday.

The TSRA Foundation is looking for volunteers to assist with the Magpul Texas Youth Shootout (TYAS) here at CCPRC.  If you can help or have questions please contact Angela Gerlich at 512-426-1329. Lunch will be provided for all volunteers and or match staff.

The Magpul Texas Youth Action Shootout (TYAS) is a freestanding match series provided by the TSRA Foundation, Inc. The series provides the opportunity for our Texas Youth and Coaches to come together, practice safe firearm handling, have fun, work as a team in an competitive environment, socialize with other like-minded individuals around the state and build our Texas youth’s confidence in marksmanship.

The series runs steel target stages in accordance with most rules and guidelines provided by the 2016-2017 Scholastic Action Shooting Program(SASP) <…/2016-2017-Handbook-FINAL-11-3-16.p…> Handbook. This is a great opportunity to give back to the youth in the shooting community!!

November 19 match info and link to registration

The November match will be on Sunday November 19th. We will have all 8 SCSA stages. Using Bays 10a-16. Total round count excluding misses will be 195. If you are considering shooting this match please pre-register as it saves a lot of time on Sunday morning and helps us start on time. We will limit match to eight squads (64 guns).

SHOOTERS MAY SIGN UP TO SHOOT A MAXIMUM OF 2 GUNS DURING PRE-REGISTRATION, if at match time there are open slots (fewer than 64 guns) shooters may be allowed to shoot a third gun.

Any rules questions, disputes or protest during a match will be decided by the match director or CCPRC management. Good sportsman like behavior is expected of each participant and their guest at all times. Match director or CCPRC management have the authority to eject any shooter and/or their guest for safety and behavior issues.
No pistol holsters are allowed that could cause the user to break the 180 degree rule when drawing or re-holstering (cross-draw, shoulder, FBI cant etc.).

All eight Steel Challenge stages will be set up for this match. Set up starts at 3:00 pm Saturday 11/18 with practice to follow after all stages are set up. Practice is free for those that help with set up or $5 for those that do not help. Practice will last to 5.15 pm (sunset is 5:37) as long as there is a range officer present. Back Gate (orange) to match Opens at 9:00 am on Sunday morning.
